Furthermore, it is advisable to promote the utilization of natural and nature-based infrastructure solutions to address the requirements of water systems.

In order to reduce the detrimental effects of runoff on surface water, the measures advocated include installing collecting basins and stormwater pipelines, employing green infrastructure techniques that allow for infiltration and control of water at its source, and engaging in land management activities. A system of pipes, dams, reservoirs, treatment plants, and sewage treatment facilities makes up the required infrastructure.
